Happy Labor Day weekend! 2025 is shaping up to be an interesting year for me, and while I don’t normally give an update two-thirds into the year, “Labor” Day felt like the right day to share some big news: I gave birth to my second kid, a girl, at the end of July, and I am taking time off to recover and recuperate.

For this pregnancy, I chose to keep it offline so we could tell close friends and family the news individually when we saw them. Instead of second-hand excitement online, we got to see their faces light up in-person and witness their excitement for us and our daughter, who was becoming a big sister. It made the experience even better than I expected.

It’s during big life changes like this one that I appreciate how freelancing has allowed me to do the work I enjoy that’s flexible for my family. It wouldn’t be possible without all of the clients I have had over the years, and I am thankful for everyone’s support, past and present, as my family and I embark on this major life change.

If you’ve recently contacted me or plan to, I am keeping an eye on my email and LinkedIn, but nothing will be immediate. So while I’m not currently taking on any client work, that will change.

Once I’m working again and I’m settled with my clients, I’m taking on new clients. If you’d like to work with me, please contact me so I can put you on my list when I return to work.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the last (unofficial) weekend of summer and soon, fall!
